.mp3 board recording from the IMAF Festival June 13, 2009
What you hear is what went through the P.A.

I can't take much credit for the kickass tune here.
I'd never heard them before they played that day.
Basically, I turned it up loud and tried to "stay away from the "suck" knob"!
If you get a chance to see Creepin' Charley and the Boneyard Orchestra, GO!!!
You will not be disappointed!
That's Right
King Creole is:
Kevin Heffernan - Vocals & all guitars
Mike Strauss - Bass Guitar
Craig (Red) Smith - Drums
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Floodstage in 2002.
King Creole's "That's Right" is an up tempo Rockabilly song about a woman most men have met in a bar at least once in their lives, and desperately hope to never see again!
Elvis may have left the building, but King Creole, a 3 piece Rockabilly/Blues/Rock band has stepped in to fill the void!
Greeny Bluz
Instrumental
Written by Steve Hurt
Steve Hurt - Guitars & Bass
Travis Brant - Drums
This is a very early FloodStage recording. The song was started in the early 1990's but wasn't mixed until August 2003.
One thing that is unusual about this song is that all the tracks were recorded with Shure SM-57's.
(There wasn't much choice, all we had at the time were SM-57's!)
The Music In My Head
The Tomkats are:
Tom "The Professor" Chester - Rhythm Gtr and Vocals
"Lonesome" Butch Burke
Brian "The Killer" Carden - Bass Guitar
Bryan "Boom Boom" Kratz - Drums
Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered in March 2006, here's another great Blues Rock original by the Tomkats!
Fredrick Is A Frightful Fellow
Highway Magic is:
Ben Wolma - Bass & Vocals
Phillip Graybiel - Drums & Vocals
Phil Zumbrun - Guitar & Vocals
A blistering fast paced punk rock song about zombies!!
Recorded, mixed, and mastered June 15, 2006
She's Coming Home
A song project for J Hall's Forum at Pro Sound Web
The project was "IMP-4" (Indie Music Project #4)
Participants were to write a song using a (god-awful-too-low-to-ever-stay-in-tune) guitar tuning that was specified on the forum.
Also, everyone used drum tracks provided on the forum rather than recording new drums.
The song was done in a hurry (wrote the chords at 7 p.m., and finished mixing around midnight, on July 4, 2006), but the flutes make the tune worth listening to!
GMrakich-3-drum-kits
Ace drummer Greg Mrakich dropped by the studio to do some samples of three of his drum kits
(and his most excellent playing)
Here are the results of that session:
Ring Of Fire
Live recording of the band O-Face doing a smokin version of "Ring Of Fire" (ala Sonic Youth!)
Alex Torres on Vocals
Jason Cully on Guitar
Jimmy Slaymon on Bass
Scott McMurray on the drums
